Cruel Girl Magazine Ad
This is a magazine ad I designed for Cruel Girl Brand Jeans. They’re a very popular brand of jean which we sell at Drysdales. I got my hands on some Cruel Girl Print Media and took a look at their brand identity. The magazine ad that I looked at was done in light colors, with lots of white and green, for their spring line. I decided to make a full page magazine ad that showcased a new jean of theirs for their fall line. I decided to go with a darker color scheme than the print that had inspired me, to both indicate a shift from spring/summer to fall/winter clothing, and to provide a more provocative, edgy theme to the ad. To keep consistency, I used the Cruel Girl font, and I used the same shade of red from their logo to color the accent text and their catchphrase, “Our jeans, your body…a cruel combination”.
